"Michael Holloway Perronne touches the
heart of relationships and our fear of letting
go. A Time Before Me takes you on a
whirlwind ride of first love and first regrets
set in the decadent French Quarter of New
Orleans. This novel should be on your
must-read list."
- Greg Lilly author of "Fingering the Family
Jewels"
"Michael Perronne is a new voice in what
might be considered the tradition of
Southern male gay writers, with a setting as
deep in the South as you can get without
falling into the gulf."
-The Independent Gay Writer, March 2005
"A Time Before Me is an endearing tale that
captures the beauty and the fear of a boy's first
love. An emotional and captivating writer, Michael
Holloway Perronne spins a tale that comes alive
with wit and flair. A fine novel." - Christopher
Scott Sarno author of "The Absence of Space and
Time"
"For anyone who remembers what it was
like to fall in love for the first time--both
the heartbreak and the joy. A sheer
pleasure to read."
- Steve Kluger, author of "Almost Like
Being In Love" and
"Last Days of Summer"
"sweet and imaginative...A Time Before Me
laces its sentimentality with enough jagged
reality to give it an interesting edge."
- Books To Watch Out For, Edition #15
"A definite read for anyone who remembers
what it was like coming out or for those
who might be contemplating coming out."
- Family & Friends, May 2005
